Creating Jams

Adding jams is as straighforward as any other node type. The following fields are part of the jam edit form:

  • Title - The name of this jam.
  • Jam Tree - If you've already entered this artist/album combination before, it will appear in this taxonomy select.
  • URL Code - Text entered here will be part of the URL code in the path alias for this item. Most of the time you can leave this blank; in that case, the code will be autogenerated based on the jam title.
  • Metadata
    • Composer - This field will be displayed next to this jam title in lists such as the Featured Jams block.
    • Artist - A Drupal taxonomy entry will be automatically created for the contents of this field.
    • Album - A Drupal taxonomy entry will be automatically created for the contents of this field.
    • Track Weight - You can use this to indicate the track number, but keep in mind that this is weighting, not an actual indication of the track number. In jam list displays, jams will be numbered sequentially starting from 1, in order of the weighting.
  • Media
    • File - You can upload a file this way, but HTTP uploads can be quite a lengthy process for long files, so you may wish to upload them elsewhere via FTP, and use the next field instead.
    • URL - Here you can enter the URL of an existing media file.
    • Control - Use this field to select how you want this jam to be presented to the user.
